New captain Paul Divilly scored 2-6 as Kildare beat Derry in Newbridge to book a final date with Meath.
Kildare restricted Derry to just four points in the second half to build on their bright start, which saw Divilly score his first goal on five minutes from a 20-metre free and the second on 29 minutes after being set up by Gerry Keegan.
