Damien Hayes injury scare
GALWAY'S three-time All Star Damien Hayes suffered an ankle injury in a challenge match against Cork in Mallow on Tuesday night. However, the Portumna clubman is confident that he will be fit for the Leinster champions' opening game of this year's campaign against Laois on Sunday week.
"I got a belt of a hurl and have a swollen ankle, but it's nothing serious. Hopefully, it will go down quickly," he said.
Galway played Dublin in a recent challenge match, but Hayes isn't reading too much into that ahead of the Dubs' clash with Wexford on Saturday night.
"Challenge matches are challenge matches. Dublin are going well and are well prepared, but they won't get it easy down in Wexford Park."
