Daly extends reign as Dublin boss until 2012

Anthony Daly is to remain on as Dublin senior hurling manager for the next two years. His selection team of Ciaran Hetherton, Richie Stakelum and Vincent Teehan were also reappointed last night.
The Clareman, who took over the capital hotseat after the 2008 Championship, will continue in the role after his position was ratified by the Dublin County Committee for 2011 and 2012.
Elsewhere, former Limerick and Laois boss Liam Kearns is in line for senior football jobs in two different counties. Kearns has already reportedly been nominated for the Limerick vacancy left by Mickey Ned O'Sullivan; he is now believed to be among five names put forward to replace Joe Kernan as Galway senior football boss.
Also on the list are: Galway minor boss Gerry Fahy; Frank Doherty, the former Clare manager who guided Caltra to All-Ireland club glory in 2004; Pete Warren, a selector with John O'Mahony when Galway won All-Ireland titles in 1998 and 2001; and former Mayo midfielder Pat Fallon, who guided Barna to the Galway SFC semi-final.
Galway Football Board were due to meet late last night to consider the format for appointing the county's fourth manager since 2007.
