MICHAEL CUSSEN has been rewarded for his form with county senior hurling champions Sarsfields with a start in Cork's seasonal opener against UCC tomorrow.
The 6ft 7in attacker first established himself with the footballers before opting to hurl in 2010, when he made six championship appearances. However, he hasn't featured for the Rebels since the league of 2011.
But his displays for Sarsfields have forced him into Jimmy Barry-Murphy's plans. Anthony Nash starts in goals in the Mardyke as Donal Og Cusack continues his recovery.
