Coyne leads Rossies
An early sending-off for Tyrone handed Roscommon the advantage at Athleague and they made full use of it with a spectacular 30-point victory.
The home side were rattled by a second-minute goal for Tyrone's Seamus McLaughney, but once corner-back Sean P Begley was sent to the line in the 10th minute there was only going to be one winner.
Begley saw red for an off-the-ball strike on Roscommon's John Coyne and within two minutes the corner-forward had picked himself up from the ground to hit the home side's first point of the game. Sixty seconds later, Coyne rounded the 'keeper to hit Roscommon's opening goal of the game.
From then on it was a procession with man of the match Coyne hitting 4-3.
