Orchard men Declan Coulter and Conor Corvan swept in for a goal apiece in a three-minute spell during the first quarter.

And when Kieran McKernan saw his speculative long-range effort fumbled by Wicklow goalkeeper Ted Kennedy, who allowed the ball to trickle over the line, Armagh were in the driving seat at 3-4 to 1-7.

Armagh led 3-6 to 1-8 at the break. Jonathan O'Neill's scored the visitors' second goal in the 43rd minute and his team were only a point in arrears (3-9 to 2-11) in the 59th minute.

But further Armagh goals from Coulter and Corvan secured victory.
