Cats get creative in battle of chants

WHAT to chant, what to chant?
That's been a big debate on fan forum Kilkennycats.com since last year's final, when it was noted that Tipperary's cry of "Tipp! Tipp! Tipp!" is particularly effective Croke Park on big days.
We have always been of the opinion that the single-syllable chant works best. Mind you, one Kilkenny fan has suggested that "Tipp have an advantage with a one syllable name, it's all their fans can remember anyway!".
Two syllables always give a handy rhythm too -- eg, 'D-J' or 'May-O' -- but three is a very awkward shout for Kilkenny fans.
Their posters seem to agree that "Cats! Cats! Cats!" or "Sheff! Sheff! Sheff!" is the way to go or, even more extreme, "Kil! Kil! Kil!".
But our favourite suggestion so far is the soccer-style chant that goes: "He'll plunder, he'll pillage, he comes from the Village, Jackie Tyrrell! Jackie Tyrrell!".
