Cats dropping like flies as Power's ankle flares up again
Kilkenny's injury jinx has struck again with full-forward Richie Power forced to sit out training last night.
Power -- who was man of the match in the victory over Cork and is seen as the ideal man to take on the forward responsibilities of the injured Henry Shefflin -- is understood to have had a recurrence of an ankle problem in training last weekend which forced him to use crutches for a couple of days.
However, Kilkenny sources insisted last night that there was no question of him missing the final against Tipperary and he is expected to attend training tomorrow night.
Shefflin, meanwhile, is not expected to start on Sunday week, despite the management's insistence that he is not ruled out of the equation.
Tommy Walsh damaged his shoulder in a club game over a week ago, but he is on course to recover in time.
