CAMOGIE : Nash goal helps Granagh to glory

GRANAGH B'GARRY 1-10 DAVITTS 1-6 Maire Uí Scolaí THREE was the magic number for Granagh Ballingarry of Limerick as they picked up their third All-Ireland Senior Club championship with a four-point victory against Galway champions Davitts.

Despite taking ten minutes to register their first point through Joanne Clifford, Granagh took a 0-6 to 0-2 lead into the interval.

The vital goal came ten minutes into the second-half when Meadbh Nash took a fine pass from Fiona Morrissey to finish with aplomb.

Two points from Eileen O'Brien put Granagh further in command, however they were made to sweat in the latter stages after a Lourdes Kavanagh goal gave Davitts hope.
