Callan wraps up Louth victory

Louth 2-17
Monaghan 1-13

Louth booked their place in the final but it wasn't until the final minutes in Clones that they were able to pull away.

Monaghan started well and led for the entire first half, but Louth struck four unanswered points to leave just one in it at half-time, 0-9 to 0-8. Louth took the lead five minutes into the second half and thereafter just about kept their noses in front.

A goal from Louth's Donagh O'Sullivan with three minutes of normal time remaining looked to have sealed the game, but Stephen Lambe then goaled for Monaghan.

Louth substitute Wesley Morrissey picked off two important points and a Shane Callan goal wrapped it up.
