MIDFIELDER Dillon Cahill popped up with a dramatic goal in the third minute of injury-time to salvage a replay for Midleton CBS against Templemore in Cahir.
Controversy surrounded Cahill's goal as the linesman on the far side of the field had his flag in the air, signalling for a sideline ball, but was ignored by referee Damien Fox in the build-up to the goal.
Midleton captain Conor Lehane sent in a superb sideline cut from the opposite touchline and Cahill gathered possession and batted the ball into the net.
Liam McGrath landed a brilliant tally of 0-14 for Templemore but the switch of John McGrath to midfield was also a key factor in their second-half revival as they outgunned their opponents by 1-11 to 1-4 after half-time.
Midleton, who led by 2-7 to 0-6 at the break, were essentially a one-man band as Lehane hit 2-9 of their 3-11 total.
But Templemore were right back in it when corner-forward Martin Kelly latched onto McGrath's long delivery and swept the loose ball to the net.
Eight second-half points from Liam McGrath looked to have secured an elusive semi-final for Templemore, but Cahill had the final say for Midleton.
