Buckley holds his nerve at the death
Kilkenny CBS 0-10 St Kieran's 0-9
Robbie Buckley showed nerves of steel as he converted an injury-time point to give Kilkenny CBS the title -- and bragging rights over their city rivals St Kieran's.
In a low-scoring first half, three Dylan O'Shea points looked like giving Kieran's the initiative, but a stoppage-time brace by Paddy Cahill meant CBS went in with the lead at the break (0-6 to 0-5).
Both sides battled hard against the elements in the second half, with driving wind and rain making scores hard to come by.
CBS were finding it difficult to withstand the constant Kieran's pressure and it looked like they had been caught when sub Conor Murphy's point was followed by an equalising free from James Maher in the 60th minute. However, Buckley held his nerve to shoot the 62nd-minute winner.
