Atkinson honesty a refreshing change

THE All-Ireland camogie programme usually includes a series of vox-pops with some high-profile players.

Thankfully the women tend to eschew the boring 'train hard' and 'Shawshank Redemption' cliches that their male counterparts use to put us all asleep.

We were particularly tickled by the contribution of Wexford's senior corner-back Karen Atkinson. Asked what six sportsmen she would invite to dinner, Atkinson was pretty straightforward with her choices.

"Rob Kearney and Tommy Bowe -- only because of their rugby ability of course; Tommy Walsh and JJ Delaney to get some hurling tips; Nadal to give him some underwear advice; and Cristiano Ronaldo to see if he really does love himself!"

Now lads, that's the sort of answer worth hearing, but do remember to make different choices to Karen.
