AIDAN O'BRIEN is busy at Longchamp tomorrow, with his latest Epsom Derby heroes Ruler Of The World and Camelot out to redeem themselves in the Prix Niel and Prix Foy.
He relies on Gale Force Ten in the Moulin, but maybe the most progressive of the Ballydoyle options is Venus De Milo in the Vermeille.
This is a good Group One, with the Diane winner Treve a worthy favourite. On a line through Chicquita, second in the Diane and narrow conqueror of Venus De Milo in the Irish Oaks, she should have the measure of Ryan Moore's mount.
However, on pedigree, this 12-furlong trip looks as though it could stretch Treve's stamina, and Venus De Milo has bundles of scope to improve.
She only made her debut in June, while, on her latest start at York, she was second to the subsequent Irish Champion Stakes victor The Fugue. That is quite a recommendation now, so odds of 9/2 are generous.
