Watching brief

WITH a level-stake profit of 17.33, Graham Lee is proving a valuable addition to the Flat ranks, and William Hill opened two special markets following his Chester brace on Thursday.

The 7/4 that they offered about him riding 50 winners or more was soon clipped to evens, though it was the 10/1 that was briefly available about him enjoying a UK Group race triumph in 2012 that struck as real value.

Lee is already immensely popular with trainers and it won't be long before such an experienced and professional practitioner is snapped up for a decent spin in a Group race of some sort. At a less generous 6/1 now, he still warrants a speculative foray.
