There was drama at Gowran Park today as Irish jockey Bryan Cooper was hailed a hero after coming to the rescue of Robbie Power following a fall in the 499 Novice Hurdle.
Gunnery Sergeant and Neverushacon both came to grief at the second last, with the latter's jockey Robbie Power getting one of his feet caught in his iron.
However, Gunnery Sergeant's rider Bryan Cooper was quick to help, catching Neverushacon and eventually releasing Power's foot with the aid of others.
Social media was quick to react, hailing Cooper a hero.
