UK comeback on the cards

After an eternity of waiting, jumps racing looks set for a welcome comeback cross-channel this weekend with the cold snap seemingly coming to an end.
Officials at both Kempton and Huntingdon are confident of racing over the sticks.
Plans are in place at Kempton to stage a replacement all-weather fixture should the turf course not improve sufficiently.
Huntingdon was due to race today, but that meeting has been called off and switched to tomorrow. Wetherby will stage an 8.0am inspection today to assess prospects for tomorrow. Ffos Las is optimistic of staging their jumps meeting on Sunday.
The thaw did not come in time for Musselburgh, which has had to abandon the two-day fixture planned for today and tomorrow.
