Nigel Twiston-Davies's string tends to taper away in December but he continues in fine form this time round. Nevertheless, the Welshman is tempting fate with plans to run Imperial Commander against Kauto Star in the King George VI Chase (the horse much prefers going left-handed), and Khyber Kim under top weight in the Totesport Gold Trophy in February.

Neither race appears suitable in the build-up to Cheltenham.
