Russell opts for Tunes

STABLE jockey Davy Russell has opted to ride Sweeney Tunes from his choice of five Michael O'Leary-owned representatives in Monday's Irish Grand National.

The Paul Nolan-trained Sweeney Tunes landed a Grade Two novice chase at Naas last time out, but will be stepping up markedly in trip.

O'Leary's other representatives are Nolan's Panther Claw, the Dessie Hughes-trained Magnanimity, Gordon Elliott's Romanesco and Charlie Swan's Start Me Up.

David Pipe's Junior carries top weight in the 30-runner field. JP McManus enters Competitive Edge and Carlingford Lough, while Liz Doyle's Rich Revival arrives in cracking form having won his last three.

Ruby Walsh rides Marasonnien for Willie Mullins, who also runs Away We Go.
