Lavelle Court-ing glory

Kangaroo Court goes on a retrieval mission at Punchestown tomorrow after making an early exit at Ayr on Saturday.

Emma Lavelle's six-year-old has crossed over to Ireland for the Novice Handicap Chase after falling at the first in the Future Champion Novices' Chase in Scotland.

"He's been globe-trotting round the British Isles," said Lavelle.

"He seems fine. He's had a school over there and he's very well.

"Having fallen at the first at Ayr he didn't have a race. We thought he would run a big race so it was gutting.

"Thankfully he's well after that and he hasn't done himself any harm so hopefully he can go and be successful in Ireland."

Kangaroo Court is one of 19 declared for the two-mile five-furlong contest for which the weights are headed by the only other British raider, the Philip Hobbs-trained Copper Bleu.

Champion Irish trainer Willie Mullins is three-handed with Quiscover Fontaine, Shakervilz and Otay Kawn in a competitive field.
