Prendergast hoping for Express delivery at the Curragh
Starbright bids to secure some valuable black type as she takes her chance in Sunday's Lodge Park Stud European Breeders Fund Park Express Stakes at the Curragh.
The three-year-old is one of just five runners in the Group Three contest and arrives with some decent form in the book.
She was a winner at the Curragh last August before finishing a close-up fifth in the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes last September.
Starbright disappointed on her final outing but with a handy weight allowance in her favour, trainer Kevin Prendergast believes the Duke Of Marmalade filly could make the frame.
"She goes in the ground and has won on it before and hoping to get some black type for her," he said.
"There's only five that go in there so she's only got to beat two of them.
"She was only beaten four lengths in the Moyglare last year but I think she was just feeling a couple of hard races on her last run."
The Dermot Weld-trained Yellow Rosebud must give weight all round after winning a Tipperary Group Three on her final start of 2012.
Aidan O'Brien fields Beach Of Falesa, twice a winner in moderate company last term, with Jim Bolger's Listed-placed Rehn's Nest also taking her chance.
More Than Sotka from the David Marnane yard completes the line-up after three runs in Dubai over the winter months.
