Moore shows genuine Class

Supporters of Workforce received a boost yesterday with the comprehensive Sandown success of Class Is Class.

Last year's Derby and Arc winner completed the preparations for his showdown with So You Think by exercising with Class Is Class (5/1) on the Newmarket gallops in the middle of this week, allowing the older horse a healthy lead before chasing him down and pulling ahead. Yesterday, Ryan Moore's mount had a comfortable four-length success over Tazeez.

Class Is Class completed a treble for Moore, who had two winners for Jeremy Noseda. Ritual (7/2), having his first outing since November, was drawn unfavourably on the five-furlong track in stall six, but Moore manoeuvred to the far rail and his mount quickened stylishly past Night Affair.

Stablemate Talwar (4/1) left a weak racecourse debut at Doncaster a long way behind when claiming the EBF Maiden Stakes by four lengths.
