Brian Meehan has nominated next month's Champagne Stakes at Doncaster as the likely next port of call for his impressive York winner Waiter's Dream.
The Oasis Dream colt turned in a hugely impressive performance in Tuesday's Group Three Acomb Stakes and Meehan is confident he can become a leading Classic contender next season.
"We were really pleased with him. He progressed from his Salisbury run, was very good at Newbury and he looked top grade," the trainer told At The Races.
"I guess the Dewhurst would be his target, but first stop would be the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster (September 11).
"I think he could become a Guineas horse. It looked yesterday that a mile is well within his scope and he's a very well-balanced, good-looking colt."
