Irish Independent's Richard Forristal predicts Irish Grand National winner

Irish Independent Racing correspondent Richard Forristal looked into his crystal ball for punters this morning and accurately predicted that Rogue Angel would win the Boylesports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.

Indeed, the eight-year-old, trained by Mouse Morris and ridden by Ger Fox, was an immediate frontrunner and never wavered en route to a stunning victory.

Richard Forristal proved the most prescient of our equine oracles for the 5.0 race, whom also include Niall Cronin and Patrick Mullins, though Mr Mullins was spot on when proffering that Sutton Place would win the Novice Hurdle.
