Inspection for Lingfield racing

Published 11/02/2013 | 09:00

Tomorrow’s meeting at Lingfield is under further threat after officials called an inspection for 8am on the morning of racing.

The fixture had already been disrupted with a switch to an all-chase and bumper card following the abandonment of the hurdle races due towaterlogging, a problem which now clouds the chase track.

Clerk of the course Neil Mackenzie Ross tweeted: "17mm rain & 1/2 inch of snow overnight. Chase course is waterlogged in places.

"Inspection 8am Tuesday."
