Hareth can strike for Charles Byrnes, arguably unfortunate not to have a runner at Cheltenham given his talents, in the two-mile handicap hurdle at Limerick today.

He was with Charlie Swan, for whom he won under an utterly vintage Paul Carberry ride at Limerick in May 2014. Hareth was not seen again until a 20/1 third at Naas on his debut for Byrnes in February and if he can come on from that he has a big chance.

The Grade Two Webster Cup is the feature race at Navan tomorrow. A Toi Phil, which could have been on the Cheltenham ticket, looks good here. He was a little disappointing last time but is in much calmer waters now.

A Grade Three novices' hurdle takes place at Limerick. Kate Appleby Shoes is taken to score for the in-form axis of Willie Mullins and Paul Townend. The trip can suit. The pair can also take the Grade Three mares' novice chase with Daisy's Gift. This one may stay better than Slowmotion, which has the class but not necessarily the stamina.
