Group One hat-trick on cards for Hills

JA McGrath

Charlie Hills can complete a remarkable Group One treble at Newmarket inside 24 hours when saddling Kiyoshi in today's Cheveley Park Stakes and Just The Judge in the Sun Chariot Stakes.

Yesterday, Hills sprang a 28/1 surprise with Chriselliam in the Shadwell Fillies' Mile, which will generate extra stable confidence on Cambridgeshire day.

The filly earned a 16/1 quote for the 2014 1,000 Guineas with this victory, finishing with a flourish down the outside under Richard Hughes to outgun market leaders Rizeena and Ihtimal.

Earlier, the Andre Fabre-trained Miss France came home strongly to beat Lightning Thunder in the Oh So Sharp Stakes, earning a 12/1 quote for next year's 1,000 Guineas.

Marco Botti and Martin Harley successfully teamed up through Renew (9/4), an easy winner of the Mawatheeq Godolphin Stakes.

Hills has always held Kiyoshi in very high regard. Qatar Racing own Kiyoshi, as well as Just The Judge, who later goes for the Sun Chariot Stakes. Just The Judge will have Sky Lantern as chief rival, rather than older filly Elusive Kate.
