The draw for the Breeders' Cup proved a mixed bag for European contenders but connections of Golden Horn were smiling broadly after he got stall one for Saturday's Turf event.

John Gosden's Arc hero will break from the rail under Frankie Dettori in the 12-runner Grade One over a mile and a half. Things will be tougher for Aidan O'Brien's Found which been drawn in nine, but stablemate Gleneagles has got a decent berth in stall five in the Breeders' Cup Classic on the dirt.

The dual 2,000 Guineas and Royal Ascot winner will be up against American Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, which is alongside him in stall four in the star-studded ten-runner field. Roger Charlton's Time Test does not appear to have been done any favours as he has got stall 12 of 12 in the Mile. David O'Meara's Mondialiste did much better with stall four.

The French have a strong hand in the race, with Make Believe (three), Esoterique (nine), Impassable (five) and last year's winner Karakontie in gate 11.

David Wachman's hot favourite Legatissimo has been drawn three for the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf, with Ralph Beckett's Secret Gesture in 12.

Ballydoyle youngster Hit It A Bomb breaks from stall 14 in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf on Friday, with stablemate Shogun in stall four.
