WATCH: 'I slept with the horse for two hours last night' - Top Of The Town owner with another vibrant interview
Top Of The Town owner Josh Sheahan was the subject of another lively pre-race interview in Galway on Friday as his horse finished in 15th place in the Guinness Galway Blazers Handicap Chase.
The 20/1 nine-year-old finished fourth from last, however, there was no shortage of encouragement from his owner Sheahan, who had hoped that his prized horse would be encouraged by the Limerick publican's close support the night before the chase.
"If this horse wins, Galway will never see the likes of this again," Sheahan told At The Races on Friday.
"Anywhere in the world you won't see the likes of this. The ground has gone against us but I'm praying all week. I slept with the horse last night for two hours.
"I was rubbing his belly, I'm talking to him, he loves the last interview, but we are fierce hopeful. The horse is in good form, 130 is a hard mark but I'm hoping there will be a miracle here today and if there is, this place is going to be wrecked."
The 25-year-old made headlines last month when he said that his supporters 'would wreck the shop' at the Limerick Races if Top Of The Town won the Michael English Country Music Night 27th July Chase.
The horse finished in fifth, and while it's performances on the course remain understated, it's owners pre-race interviews are quickly becoming a big attraction wherever he races.
