Forristal's 172/1 treble proves big hit for Irish Independent readers

Richard Forristal's three selections in his Saturday column all scored to make for a 172/1 Cheltenham treble.

Cape Tribulation, 14/1 prior to the withdrawal of Tidal Bay on Saturday morning, landed the Argento Chase at 7/1, At Fishers Cross scored under AP McCoy at 13/2 and the 'Best Bet' Reve De Sivola obliged at 15/8 to complete the clean sweep for his nominations.

Meanwhile, readers of our In The Stables column will have been rewarded if they remembered Liz Doyle's contribution all the way back in November.

"The horse of ours to watch out for is a beautiful three-year-old by Martaline," Doyle said. "Take note if he turns up in a bumper in the New Year."

Now trading as Le Vent D'Antan, the four-year-old duly dotted up at 7/4 on his Leopardstown debut on Saturday.

Jim Culloty also gave yesterday's 12/1 winner Legal Exit a positive mention last Friday.
