IT'S difficult to keep the names of Conor Fahy and Dolores Ruth out of the news these days.

Fahy (21) has made a meteoric rise through the ranks as a trainer with his father's powerful range of trackers -- the extent of which we witnessed at Shelbourne on Saturday night when the kennel scored a five-timer, including a treble in the heats of the Hegarty Bookmakers 600.

Fahy's star turn was Tyrur Domingo in the final heat as he was cut off twice by pace-setting Whatsupjack but kept coming back and forced his way up to win by a half-length in 32.75.

There was no panic with the other two winners as Tyrur O Gorman and Tyrur Carey led all the way for their respective victories in 32.62 and 32.73. For the record, the other Fahy winners were Tyrur Cooney in 29.15 and Tyrur Brian in 28.79.

Neilus O'Connell's Croom Star posted an impressive 32.52 when leading from the second bend in Heat 2 and the other winners, Lady Lucielle in 32.63 and Gizmo Titan in 32.79, were both in command from the opening bends.

One of the most impressive runs of the night was turned in by the Tom O'Neill-trained Turbo Charge as he powered clear down the back straight of an open 525 to beat National Puppy Stake winner Deerfield Music by four lengths in 28.44.

In trials for the English Derby at Wimbledon, the strong Ruth team excelled. Razldazl Jayfkay scorched around the Plough Lane circuit in 28.24 while Razldazl George just pipped his Easter Cup conqueror Makeshift by a short head in 28.38.
