LAOIS trainer Shane Duffy was fined €1,000 and ordered to pay costs of €500 after being found guilty in relation to his handling of Hayzoom at a referral hearing.
Although the horse, which last ran for Charlie Swan in July, never lined out for Duffy, he was sanctioned for purchasing it in the knowledge that it had participated at unauthorised 'flapping' meetings, and for entering it to run at Listowel in September when it wasn't in his yard.
