DO THE DOUBLE

Soccer

SOME bookies have Chelsea odds-on at home to Liverpool but the table suggests that this pair are more evenly matched. It's worth remembering that Chelsea haven't managed to score in five of their past seven Premier League meetings with the Reds. Paul Nicholls has said that Kauto Star is still showing plenty of sparkle at home and has a fighting chance at taking the Betfair Chase at Haydock (3.05), although at nearly 12 years of age, youth is not on his side.

Questions remain as to whether Long Run will be tuned up for this but -- with 14lb in hand on Timeform in the ratings -- the six-year-old Gold Cup winner is too hard to oppose at 4/5. The inclusion of Weird Al, Time For Rupert and Diamond Harry make this year's renewal a cracker.
