Robbie Moran found himself in a precarious position after coming off his horse at Tramore today but thankfully escaped injury.

Moran was aboard Fethard Player for the Maiden Hurdle at midday today when he came off the horse with Russell following closely on Express Du Belaris.

Russell too came off his horse but thankfully both men were able to walk away without any injuries.

It hasn’t been the best of days for Russell who described his "shock" after losing his retainer with Gigginstown House Stud.

Russell rode a winner in the Gigginstown colours at Punchestown on Tuesday but was later informed by Michael O'Leary that he would no longer be first choice jockey for the champion owner.

The Maiden Hurdle at Tramore was won by Davinia’s Tip which came in at 10/3.
