Clonmel card on Thursday falls to waterlogging
Clonmel's jumps card on Thursday has been cancelled due to a waterlogged track.
Officials at the Irish circuit were faced with a relatively straightforward call following an inspection at just before 10am.
Thirty-eight millimetres of rainfall within the last 36 hours put paid to any notion of racing going ahead.
Irish Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone said: "Unfortunately, the meeting has been cancelled. The track is unfit for racing due to waterlogging.
"They have had 38 millimetres of rain in the last 36 hours and that follows 36 millimetres of rain over the weekend.
"I believe they are going to apply for a replacement fixture, but that will be down to Clonmel and Horse Racing Ireland."
