Claremont is fit to succeed
The 2000 Guineas supporting card is fiendishly difficult save for the Jockey Club Stakes (2.25), which looks booked for the race-fit Claremont.
And the Palace House Stakes (3,40), in which the Eddie Lynam-trained Sole Power has each-way claims at long odds, offers Amour Propre the chance to repeat his scintillating victory in this race 12 months ago.
As for the handicaps, Shamali is worth an interest in the Suffolk Stakes (1.55). The five-year-old advanced rapidly towards the end of last season and is seen as potentially better than a handicapper. His homework has been encouraging ahead of this seasonal debut.
Finally, the breathing problem which compromised Black Spirit last season has been tweaked over the winter and he is taken to defy the lack of a recent run in the concluding one-mile handicap (5.25).
