Williams duo ready to roll
Weird Al will complete his preparations for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham with a final piece of work on Wednesday.
Ian Williams' seven-year-old is unbeaten in three starts over fences, including having already won twice at Prestbury Park.
Paddy Brennan took over from the injured Noel Fehily on his latest start at Wetherby and will be down to school him at the end of this week.
"All is well with him and, frost permitting, he will do his final piece of work on Wednesday," said Williams.
"Paddy will then school him at the end of the week and I feel he will be a better horse on better ground."
Williams also holds a big chance in the Pertemps Final with impressive Haydock winner Fredo.
"He ran a nice race at Cheltenham back in November and it was that day which made us think the Pertemps would be a race that suited him," he added.
"He needed to go up in the weights to get in so we ran him at Newbury and he never got a run behind Alfie Sherrin.
"We then went to Haydock and I thought that may come too quickly but he did it nicely.
"He has gone up 10lb for that and I am not saying that rise is unfair, but I don't think it is fair either."
