Donald McCain is considering whether to let Peddlers Cross gallop at Bangor on Wednesday.

Last season's Champion Hurdle runner-up won his first two starts over fences at the Wrexham circuit before being beaten by Sprinter Sacre, who is set to reoppose in the Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham next month, at Kempton over Christmas.

McCain is now deciding whether to let his stable star take to the racecourse again before the Festival.

Champion Hurdle hope Overturn and Cheltenham Gold Cup contender Weird Al will both be working after racing has finished at Bangor.

"Overturn and Weird Al will definitely go to Bangor, along with a few others," said McCain.

"I'm still not sure whether Peddlers will or not. I just need to talk it over with Jason (Maguire, jockey) and we'll decide in the morning."

McCain did confirm, however, that Grand National winner Ballabriggs will run at Kelso on Saturday, rather than Newbury or Doncaster, as long as the ground is suitable.

"He'll go to Kelso as long as it's not too quick, but they are putting some water on so I'm sure it will be fine," he added.

"He schooled this morning and it went great so I'm looking forward to getting him out again.

"It won't be the end of the world if he didn't win as he got beaten there last year."
