Folly odds clipped after Thomas fall

Market movers are worth noting for the positive information they are presumed to impart about a horse's well-being. Yet try telling that to Sam Thomas, who fractured a vertebra in a schooling accident at Paul Nicholls' stable on Thursday.
Thomas, whose career was regaining momentum after a wretched spell as Nicholls' second jockey last year, must sit out Cheltenham after Woolcombe Folly took a heavy fall. While he was lying prostrate in hospital, William Hill clipped Woolcombe Folly's Irish Independent Arkle Chase odds to 25/1 from 33s. Go figure.
