The Paul Nicholls-trained Denman has claimed the 2008 Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The 9/4 second favourite romped home under Sam Thomas - seven lengths clear of Kuato Star.

Neptune Collonges finished third to complete a Paul Nicholls 1-2-3.

Fiveforthree landed the Ballymore Properties Novices' Hurdle for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh.

While Whiteoak pipped Refinement at the post in a thrilling race for the opening David Nicholson Mares Hurdle.
