Cheltenham Tuesday: Bet of the day for the Cheltenham novice
A Cheltenham novice? Here's a bet that's cheap with a big return that can rouse your interest in the greatest racing festival in the world.
Gilgamboa, Supreme Novice Hurdle (Enda Bolger) An impressive winner of the Boyne Hurdle at Leopardstown, Gilgamboa has bypassed excellent opportunities in the week's handicaps to be JP McManus' only runner in the Supreme Novice. He is very tough and unlike many of these, he has experience of big fields.
Champagne Fever, Racing Post Arkle (Willie Mullins) Going for his third straight win at the Cheltenham in a third different race. Bob's Worth did it last year and this guy can emulate him. Ruby likely to make the running and it will take quite a horse to go past him.
Hurricane Fly, Champion Hurdle (Willie Mullins) He can join the likes of Istabraq on three Champion Hurdle wins with victory today. Price wise has tipped up My Tent Or Yours but Simon Claisse, speaking this morning, thinks the ground will be tacky and I'm stumping for the Fly. A 20th Grade One success beckons.
Foxrock, National Hunt Chase (Ted Walsh) Ted and Kate can hopefully complete what could be a memorable day for the Irish on Foxrock. He has two Grade Two successes already this year and is and out-and-out stayer. Looks the class horse of the race and Katie is one of the best amateur jockeys riding around here.
A €1 accumulator on all four will bring you a return of 792.17 if all four win. Very speculative but who knows.
