Captain set for George
Captain Chris is set to tackle the William Hill King George VI Chase at Kempton as long as everything goes to plan between now and St Stephen's Day.
Philip Hobbs had intended to give the nine-year-old his seasonal bow at Ascot last month but a late setback saw him re-routed to Huntingdon for Thursday's Peterborough Chase.
Meanwhile, Catterick is looking to take another step next week in its bid to hold racing on an artificial surface.
Officials have been working on the project for about two years. On Tuesday they will have the latest in a series of discussions with the British Horseracing Authority. Catterick's plans would see the turf Flat course replaced with a floodlit artificial surface, although the jumps track would be kept.
