As you were in title race
after another day of drama in the race for the Flat jockeys' title, Richard Hughes still trails Paul Hanagan by two with two days to go. The day started badly for Hughes when his first mount, 6/4 favourite War Party, lost out in a photo finish at Lingfield, and it got worse when Hanagan extended his lead to three by riding Ritual to victory.
From Lingfield, both riders journeyed to Kempton, where Hughes got his title hopes back on track with a near 11/1 double aboard Queen Of Cash and Dingaan.
However, just as the momentum seemed to be with the Kildare jockey, Hanagan hit back with what could prove a pivotal success in the final race of the night courtesy of 3/1 favourite Iron Condor.
