Max Dynamite was born with a different racing journey in mind. Back in 2013, he finished eighth in both the Group One Prix du Jockey Club and the Grand Prix de Paris but here he is, almost two years on, contesting a Grade Two novice hurdle in Naas this afternoon for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh.

All Hell Let Loose is following the path envisaged for him by his breeders but his performances since finishing second to Nichols Canyon, a stable companion of Max Dynamite, in the Royal Bond have been disappointing although he hated the testing ground at Limerick over Christmas so that run could be discounted.

Max Dynamite wasn't that enamoured with Limerick's Christmas going when finishing second to Kitten Rock in a listed hurdle. That form has looked better with each one of Kitten Rock's subsequent wins but the value here may lie with Aminabad, another runner from the Willie Mullins' yard.

Paul Townend's charge sunk quicker than a lead balloon on his latest outing but if he is in the same sparkling form as he was when making a winning hurdles debut and back over an ideal two miles, then he could be the one.
