Parish Hall travelled well throughout on the way to landing the Alleged Stakes at the Curragh to complete a treble for trainer Jim Bolger and jockey Kevin Manning.

Successful in this Listed contest in 2013 and third 12 months ago, the six-year-old put his rivals to the sword as he dispelled the memory of a defeat on the Dundalk all-weather last time.

Queen Of Alba made the running and held a long lead at one stage, but was swallowed up in the straight as the favourite Massinga made a bid for glory.

Parish Hall (9-2) soon ranged alongside and bounded clear to win by two lengths.

The winner's stable companion Loch Garman, having his first run since finishing unplaced in the French Derby in June 2013, shaped most encouragingly for second place, ahead of Waltzing Matilda in third.

Bolger said of the winner: "He's a smart horse on his day when he gets everything right. The Mooresbridge (back at the Curragh on May 4) is a possibility.

"Loch Garman is on his way back. He got badly carved up in the French Derby the year before last, and it took a while for the wounds to heal."
