A late rush of entries made for a full 72 dog line-up for Ireland's sprint classic, the Bar One Racing Irish Sprint Cup when the draw was made at Dundalk Stadium yesterday.

The big names in the draw are Ireland's two top sprinters Ballymac Bigmike and Autlon Jet who will both be returning from long absences.

Both dogs drew difficult heats with Aulton Jet in a star-studded Heat 2 on Friday with his rivals including Gymcrack winner Cometwopass, Kirby Memorial hero Bentekes Bocko and the formidable sprinter Create A Star.

Robert Gleeson's Ballymac Bigmike won't be seen until Saturday when he will contest Heat 9 where his rivals will include Toolmaker Rambo, which Paul Young has sent to Owen McKenna for the classic.

An interesting entry is Gleeson's Toolmaker Obama in Heat 5 on Friday as he is due to race from trap one in the final of the William Hill Classic at Sunderland tomorrow.

Meanwhile, BoyleSports have left Clonbrien Hero as their 2-1 favourite for Saturday's Irish Independent Irish Laurels despite winning only one of his four runs in the classic.

Their betting is: 2 Clonbrien Hero, 9-4 Kilgraney Denver, 7-2 Beannacht Tagdh, 9-2 Chawke It Down, 8 Unknown Vision, 9 Away Jet.
