The draw will be made at noon today for the traditional Dundalk International which has been providing intriguing clashes between the stars of Ireland and the UK since it was first run back in 1968.

The race will be run on Wednesday next at Dundalk Stadium and the field will comprise Droopys Wilbury, Good News and Jaytee Jet representing Ireland, while the British runners will be Bubbly Bluebird, Droopys Acrobat and Murrys Act.

Classic racing returns to Shelbourne Park for the first time since January this weekend with the Gain Corn Cuchulainn starting tomorrow and then the Shelbourne Champion 550 on Saturday.

The draw was made yesterday for both competitions and some terrific racing is in prospect. Leading fancies for the two events will be Airmount Tess and Tyrur Blondie in the Corn Cuchulainn and Coolavanny Pet and Tyrur Harold in the 550.

It will be graded fare at Shelbourne this evening and the Reggie Roberts-owned Urban Rock (10.13) is due a return to form. He didn't get in a blow behind Kilgraney Master last Saturday but is dropped a little in grade here.
