Here's your chance to drive like Rory McIlroy.

For just under £22,000, you can pick up a car once owned by the world No 2 golfer, which has just come on the market at a Co Down dealership.

Staff at Morgan Cars in Warrenpoint couldn’t believe their luck when the firm bought the top-of-the-range Audi Q7 earlier this month and read the name in the tax book.

With 80,000 miles on the clock, the six-year-old, 3.0-litre beast has already attracted a lot of interest despite being advertised for the first time yesterday.

Mark Morgan told Sunday Life: “It was bought from Agnews and it was previously owned by Rory McIlroy and then another lady before we bought it.

“We have had a few people interested in it already and there is going to be a golf fan out there that just really wants it simply because it was his.”

Mark added that people have already been cracking jokes about the motor’s famous past owner, with one quipping: “You better check the seats because apparently you’ve got a hole in one.”

Mark added: “For what it is, it is excellent value.” He assured would-be owners that there were no scuffs in the boot from Rory’s golf bag.

It’s not the first time the dealership has sold a car with a celebrity owner, having previously flogged a Mercedes that once belonged to legendary Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.

“It was a CL55 AMG and we ended up keeping his personal registration plate which ended with his initials PBS,” recalled Mark.
