Sparkle, sparkle! Shane Lowry explains why his beard was very shiny on TV last night
Offaly's Shane Lowry made an appearance on Second Captains on RTE last night alongside Munster and Ireland star Peter O'Mahony, former Mayo manager James Horan and Andy Lee and his facial hair came in for a lot of attention.
Lowry spoke about his first ever appearance at the Masters, the dominance of Jordan Speith, the craic he had with Padraig Harrington and how proud he was to have his father caddy for him in the Par 3 contest... but viewers attention kept being drawn to his beard.
His facial hair was unnaturally shiny, leading many people on Twitter to guess as to what was the cause.
Here's his reason along with some of the Twitter banter:
Think I might have got heavy handed on the beard oil this eve. #glitterbeard— Shane Lowry (@ShaneLowryGolf) April 15, 2015
