Your wedding day is meant to be one of the happiest of your life and Shane Lowry and his bride Wendy Honner certainly looked the picture of newlywed bliss on the streets of New York this afternoon.

Reports earlier in the day on Midlands 103FM indicated that the Clara native had quietly gotten married in the Big Apple just days after nailing an incredible hole-in-one during the final round at the Masters.

Lowry took to his Twitter account today to share a photo of himself and his wife, seemingly confirming that the duo tied the knot.

The wedding caps a whirlwind week for the golfer, who was briefly in contention at Augusta after a strong opening round that saw him in second place. However, the course got the better of him over the preceding three days and he ended up tied for 39th.

Lowry won't take to the course again until the Wells Fargo Championship on May 5, which gives him a few weeks take a honeymoon with his new wife.
